These Terms and Conditions apply to this website and transactions relating to our products and services.
Enrollment
The agreement is valid after the student has completed the enrollment form provided by the staff and has paid the entire course fee or at least the deposit of 50€ which is non-refundable. We will confirm the enrollment once the payment has been received with information to start the course.
Payment
Unless mentioned or agreed otherwise, the student is obliged to pay the remaining sum to the school on the first day of the course, before the course starts. The remaining sum is the total sum minus the deposit. The student is responsible for ensuring that payment is received in full by the school, without bank charges having to be paid by the school.
For the Intensive and Extensive courses we offer the option of a monthly payment. That is to say, if the intensive course we offer is 2 months long, then the student will be responsible to ensure the payment of the course for half the price of the course minus the deposit the first month, and the remaining amount the following month. This can be agreed for all of the Intensive or Extensive courses.
Methods of Payment
- The school accepts the following methods of payment:
- Cash
- Bizum
- Bank transfer. In case of the bank transfer the school should receive the full amount required, in euros, free of bank charges. The school’s bank details will be provided alongside with the enrollment form.
Minimum Age
The minimum age is 18 years old. For certain courses and under certain circumstances exceptions can be made. In case of a booking by a minor, an authorization letter has to be completed and signed by the parent or legal guardian.
Missed lessons
If the student cannot attend their classes anymore, the school must be informed in writing at least 48 hours before the class to pause the course. The course might be resumed when the student is ready or the classes might be transferred to another person.
The student can freeze their classes once every 6 months. The school cannot guarantee availability in the same group upon return. Students who pause their course are allowed one year from the freeze date to use their remaining hours, after the year the classes cannot be recovered.
Cancellations
The student who wishes to cancel their course must notify the school in writing by email. Notifications not received via email will not be accepted. The date of cancellation is regarded to be the date on which the written notice was received by the school.
The student can cancel the booking 30 days or more before the course start date and the school will refund the advanced payment.
In the case of cancellation 29 to 0 days before the course start date the school will refund the advanced payment except 100 euros for the administrative expenses.
Cancellations are not possible once the student has started to study at the school. No refund shall be given after the day the student starts the course.
If the school needs to cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances that can be proved a full refund will be given.
In the event of low enrolment for a group class, the school reserves the right to reschedule the class to a later start date, combine two groups, or shorten the duration of the class as they see fit. In this case, students will have the option to transfer their credit to a different class, or get a refund if the new dates do not fit their schedule.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Course Changes
All students who wish to make changes to their course must notify the school in writing by email. Requests for changes are subject to availability, AND THEY NEED TO BE APROVED BY THE SCHOOL OFFICE.
Group classes cannot be converted into private lessons.
Complaints
Habla Barcelona welcomes feedback from students. Informal and formal complaints are taken seriously, and staff will follow standard school procedures when dealing with them. The school will respond to the feedback and any complaints students may have, promptly and courteously.
Private Classes
Private lessons packages are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. Under no circumstances can a private lessons package be refunded, in part or in full.
For private lessons, the school must be notified at least 24 hours in advance of any schedule change or class cancellation the student wishes to make. Otherwise, the class will be considered taught due to late cancellation that is to say that the student will be charged anyway for the class.
Activities and Excursions
The school reserves the right to amend the program of activities DUE TO ANY ORGANIZATION ISSUES THAT MAY ARISE AND/OR INCLEMENT WEATHER.
Disruptive behavior and safety
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who is disruptive, or who causes any kind of safety concern to our students or staff.
Equality and diversity policy
Habla Barcelona is committed to equality and diversity. We provide an environment in which all students and staff feel comfortable, where they are listened to and their views are respected. Habla Barcelona does not tolerate any form of discrimination in relation to beliefs, ethnicity, gender, disability, age, or sexual orientation. Any form of discrimination to our students or staff will be considered disruptive behavior and will be considered a safety concern allowing the school to take action.
The completion of the enrollment form and the payment of the course represent full acceptance of these terms and conditions.
